Being nineteen can be tough for a girl if she’s poor, uneducated, and in love with someone like Bobby. Teenage boyhood can also be tough if the guy is sensitive and confused and looking down the road to the rest of his life. Bobby doesn’t know what he’s walking into when he agrees to meet his girlfriend Tina and her best friend Jill, at the neighborhood park. Both have something TOUGH! to tell the other, and neither is equipped to handle their situation. On top of this, we have Tina’s best friend Jill and her fiery temper tossed into the mix. This dark comedy explores the nature of responsibility, communication, and how each can change radically from different gendered perspectives.
