Textile Collage Workshop with Barb Daley

Ages 16 to adult
In this workshop participants will learn how to do “slow hand stitching”, the way Barb does, to create a gorgeous textile collage. Barb will teach various stitches, methods and her approach to creating collages, as well as a tissue transfer technique for adding incredible detail to your piece. Attaching found items such as “orphaned” earrings, pendants, keys, photos, feathers and other non-textile items is all part of the appeal for this project. Other than the personalized found items, Barb will provide everything the participant needs, including the needles, threads and the backing fabrics.
