Get ready to step outside the box! Stage North and Spectacular Chair Factory are pleased to present for the first time ever the Fo Jo 2014 Performance Arts Festival happening in Fort St. John August 8-17, 2014. This festival is meant to showcase the exceptional diversity of talent we have here in Northern BC.

And this is where YOU come in! We are looking for festival submissions! Entries can be any kind of performance art – plays, music, improv, dance – if you can envision it, we want to see it. Performances must a maximum of 60 minutes in length. This festival will be an awesome opportunity to highlight your amazing talent and make some extra cash at the same time. Artists (or the company they represent) take home 100% proceeds from the ticket sales! For all the submission guidelines, please see the attached application form.

Deadline to submit applications to the festival is Wednesday, June 25. Performance slots will be chosen by lottery on Thursday, June 26 and successful applicants will be informed in the evening on June 26. If you have any questions, please contact Dawn Ljuden at 250-262-9846.

In order to fundraise for the FoJo Festival, Stage North and Spectacular Chair Factory will be hosting a 48 Hour Garage Sale July 18-20, 2014. This event will be held in the Terra Energy parking lot on 100 Avenue beginning at 4:30 pm on Friday, July 18. Stop by anytime (no, really!) and find some fabulous garage sale treasures you can take home!
