Me squared. It’s me before knowing or accepting who I am. It’s me hidden, disguised, concealed beneath appearances. It’s me before understanding that being myself, the one and only me, is the ideal that is priceless.
Me Squared is a contemporary work that addresses questions that are particularly sensitive at the dawn of adolescence, and explores the sometimes tortuous path in the quest of self and others.
Three protagonists evolve in a space reminiscent of abandoned buildings, a space that transforms with belonging and rejection, with separations and reconciliation. Shadow play and subtle lighting effects serve to accentuate the different personalities. In a highly energetic and athletic movement style, the characters dance from one “me” to another, hoping finally to be someone in the midst of others.
