Arts Advocates are friends of the arts who support the mission and goals of the Fort St. John Community Arts Council. With the support of the following patrons, the Arts Council can develop further initiatives for all arts in the area, help stage events involving creative performances and exhibits, and keep the community arts studios open for lessons and workshops for young and old for pottery, painting and spinning and weaving. _______________________________________

Support for the arts is welcome throughout the year and is renewable annually. A tax-deductible receipt will be issued for each contribution. To date–$7800 has been contributed to support the arts in 2014.
A Bit of History: In 2014, long time flower pots sponsors responded to the change in the Flower Pot Program by supporting the Arts Council and its programs through the Arts Advocate Patron Program. A letter of explanation was sent to all flower pot sponsors about the City’s decision to terminate the flower pot partnership between the Arts Council and the City. The Arts Council was notified that the flower pots will no longer be painted by local artists and no sponsors will be put on the flower pots beginning in 2014. A very successful program came to a halt after 12 years of cooperation and hundreds of artists and sponsors were disappointed. The support given to the arts through the flower pot sponsorships was switched over to the Advocacy Patron Program for those who wished to continue to support the arts. We appreciate their support.
