Frames and fun will be in abundance at the Artspost on May 31, when the doors are open to be creative with framing. Tips for serious framers plus fun ideas and creative work tables for the young and old will continue throughout the day. Stay a few minutes or stay all day, a $5 entry fee lays materials and expertise at your finger tips. Oodles of slightly used frames will be available, most of them free with the more valuable frames at rock bottom prices.
Bring down your favourite photo. Learn how to box frame. Create your own custom-made frame. Get some tips on hard-to-frame keepsakes. With Father’s Day approaching, kids may wish to bring down a photo of Dad to frame. You can paint a frame or glue interesting decorations to a frame. There are no limitations if you bring your imagination with you.
Opening at 10am, the Frame It Day at the Artspost is an event of the Fort St. John Arts Council to help raise funds for the Artspost. Frame It is in conjunction with the annual Artwalk organized by Peace Gallery North Society and Flying Colours Artists.
Experts and creative assistants will be available all day to work magic with framing.
