A New Year at the North Peace Potters’ Guild

The Potters' Guild is back in business after the end of year break.

To start things off the mug wall will be open this Saturday, and every Saturday from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm. Come to the side door. All the mugs are made by guild members. Some are made by novice potters, others by those more experienced. It is a good opportunity for potters beginning to sell their work to test the market and make a few dollars to support their learning endeavours. A percentage of the sale price goes to support the clay studio.

Recently the guild executed a commission for the City of Fort St. John making a series of 44 mugs for attendees at the 2009 Oil and Gas Conference. The mugs were extremely well accepted.  If anyone has a conference or similar event and would like to discuss a commission of this type  feel free to make contact. Good notice is required please. About 6 weeks, or a bit more if special logo decoration is requested. Depending on the complexity of a logo, this may or may not be possible to do.

Classes at the guild start next week . There is still room in the Wednesday Morning Workshop class, where students work at their own pace, and where beginners start with a proscribed curriculum.  Email for a brochure.
