Adjudicator Andrew McElroy will be selecting one production to represent the Peace Region at Theatre BC Mainstage in Kamloops in early July.
Community theatre in Northern BC has its roots as far back as the 1930’s when original plays were written and performed by residents of the Peace Country. The first Hamber Award in British Columbia was won by a theatre troope in Fort St. John in 1952.
